When I was referred to Barbara by her hospice nurse, she was homebound. Bedbound actually. She has been in her home for many years. She knew she needed to move to get to a safer environment as she was no longer to care for her daily needs. We moved her into a beautiful facility and she is so so happy now. We took care of everything, from the packing, moving and setting up her new apartment just the way she wanted it. Every time I see her she tells me how grateful she is to be where she is. Her home sold in a couple of days and Barbara says, "I have my life back because of you." What a beautiful lady.
John lived in a beautiful home on 25 acres south of Belen, NM. His wife had cancer and recently passed. He cared for her in this home for many years. It was very hard for him to leave. He was very lonely and isolated that far out in the country. We found him a great place to live nearby in Los Lunas with wide open spaces and gardens and a little casita apartment. He loves it and has made so many friends. Even went dancing a couple of times and listened to the band in the bistro. We packed his things, moved him, unpacked in his new apartment, did an online estate sale, then cleared the home, cleaned it, did some repairs and put it on the market. It is currently under contract. Such a nice man.
Judith is one of my favorite clients. She was referred to me by a rehabilitation facility. Her husband, Don was very ill with cancer and she was on fulltime dialysis and had been for years. We had to search long and hard to find a place where they could both live together.... given their very different needs and level of care needed. Unfortunately her husband Don passed during this process. He was a very nice man. I continued to find Judith a great new place to live. Where they would transport her to dialysis 3 times a week and care for her. We did an amazing estate sale. She has so many beautiful things. Then we sold her house in couple of days and she was able to put the money away for her care. Unfortunately my good friend died this year. We would go to lunch once or twice a month, get our hair done and grab a drink every no and then for years. I had the honor of being by her side when she passed as her family was not able to be her. I miss her all the time.
This is Christiane. She is 93 now and from France. An amazing woman. Was there taking care of her siblings when the Germans invaded France. Has some amazing stories to tell. I was referred to her by a social worker at Presbyterian. She was in a little mobile home surrounded by flowers and gardens that she has planted and maintained herself until about 5 years ago. She had very limited income. We moved her into an assisted living residential home. She has no children and no family here so I agreed to be her POA and help her through this touch situation after we sold her home. I was able to get her on a government program for low income seniors and have been the one paying her bills and making sure she has the treatment that care that she needs. She is a firecracker. My life has been so blessed knowing her and I continue to care for her still today.
CJ had to move to assisted living as she had fallen several times and was unable to care for her daily needs any longer. We found her a great place that was new in the area that she could afford on her small income. CJ has traveled all over the world and had some amazing things. We packed them carefully and moved them to her new place. Hanging this Zebra was no easy task. Then we did a buyout to have the additional items removed and sold. We cleaned up and then got her house sold in a few days. She is quite the character.
Original appliances, cabinets, yellow counters, etc. We did some minimal touch ups, cleaning and updates....
Not all clients wish to do any remodeling.... this is simply an example. Sometimes its better to price the home accordingly and let the new buyer make the needed repairs and updates. These are all things that we can discuss with you personally. Updated picture of kitchen below.
We did some minimal touch ups, updates.... we put in new counter tops, painted the cabinets and walls, had new appliances installed and then lightly staged the home. After some cleaning..... It looks beautiful.
We don't always need to do things like this, but this is an example of how spending a little bit of money can really make a big difference.
We have some of the best partners and venders. We help coordinate in person or online estate sales for our clients. Our team always does an amazing job.
Whether moving down the street or across the country, we have movers who can help with packing, moving, unpacking. They are kind, loving and care deeply for our clients. Always a blessing to have great people helping on our team. I am grateful for them everyday.
